Railway fans, the so-called "stotous," will find this an important spot. From the garden there’s a direct view of the c&k viaduct of the Austrian Southern Railway, where you can watch both Italotreno high-speed trains and other Trenitalia trains.

We stayed for three nights and were very happy with it. The landlady was extremely friendly and helpful, and the apartment is about a five-minute walk from the sea. Its little front garden with seating was ideal, even for our dog. There’s a railway line by the house, but it didn’t bother us. Hardly any trains run at night, and it’s very quiet. We highly recommend the place and will come back.

Mrs. Loretta made us feel at home with her warm welcome, and the B&B is just steps from the sea. There are lots of thoughtful details, from the colorful towels and photos of the Barcolana regatta to the self-service breakfast area with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and everything needed to help yourself. The large, well-kept garden is a lovely place to relax. The price is very affordable compared with other B&Bs.

We spent five days at this lovely property in Trieste Barcola, which is both beautiful and conveniently located. Mrs. Loretta looked after us with countless thoughtful touches. It’s simply and tastefully furnished, and has every comfort. There’s still so much we want to visit, so we truly hope to return soon. Congratulations, I highly recommend it.
