I booked online and received two confirmation emails, then later got an email saying I couldn't book for just one night. That restriction wasn't mentioned on the website or booking system. I tried WhatsApp for an explanation but got a very chaotic response telling me to call the hotel. When I called, they laughed at me a bit and then hung up. It now looks like I've been blocked on WhatsApp too. What kind of service is that? Disgusting.

The views and location were big highlights, and the air conditioning worked well enough. Breakfast, though, was disappointing: prepackaged cakes, roughly like Little Debbie snacks for Americans, and water served at room temperature from a pitcher filled the night before, or even earlier on some days.

The building has so much character, and it sits right by one of Trieste’s prettiest piazzas. Cafes and restaurants are close, and the location made it easy to get around the city. I hope I can come back.

The bathroom is compact, but it’s been renovated nicely, and the shower has strong water pressure. I also loved the high ceilings and parquet floors in this lovely old building. Great location, and a very nice host.

A pleasant central place in Trieste, though there’s no breakfast, so it isn’t really a Bed&Breakfast. Parking is also an issue.
