The host makes amazing breakfasts, and the place is a very cozy spot near the park at the top of the hill. It’s quiet and stays cooler than down the hill thanks to the breeze. Getting there and back is easy, with lots of buses from the city center, especially the 11 and 22. A must.

It’s a long way from the center, but peaceful, with a great view over the bay. Buses go almost right to the door.

We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting on the outskirts, about 5 km or 15 minutes by bus from the city center. Public transport made it easy to get downtown. The host was kind and attentive, answered our questions, and gave us helpful ideas for exploring the area. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We found a great restaurant serving local food, along with a beer garden, an ice cream parlor, and a cozy café. With those nearby options and convenient transport into town, the apartment suited us very well. We had a fantastic stay and wholeheartedly recommend it.

A good, affordable B&B in Trieste. The host is kind and happy to help you explore the city, and there’s a bus stop nearby. When you arrive, be sure to get off at the highest bus stop, or you’ll have to climb a lot of stairs.
