The location worked superbly for us, and I absolutely loved the stay. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a good-sized bathroom, a safe, TV, coffee and tea, and two cupboards. I couldn't hear noise from adjoining rooms. Would I come back? Yes, absolutely.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, but the car delay completely changed my view of the place. We requested it for 9:00 a.m. as soon as possible, yet it wasn't brought back until 11:00, seriously delaying our trip. The restaurant also served everything incorrectly compared with what we ordered. The car is taken to a parking area and returned on request. That wait was unacceptable and ruined my opinion of the place, making everything else feel unimportant.

We had Valentine's Day dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was incredible. The meals were great, and the team was perfectly kind, including the best Italian maitre and a Japanese sommelier. I'd recommend trying it, you won't be sad ❤️

The staff who served us breakfast were exceptional, especially AYA. She always greeted us with a smile and two cappuccinos, knew what we planned to order, checked whether we needed anything, and got to know us. The outdoor cafe was lovely, and the breakfast menu was very good, though I preferred the buffet they had in previous years because it seemed to offer more options. We've stayed at the Continentale every time we visit family in Trieste since 2016, always for long visits. This time was 16 days, and we always request and get the same room. Booking by email went smoothly, with very quick replies. The reception ladies were welcoming and friendly, and happy to help when we had questions. The remodeling was complete and, I think, very well done. Our room was spotless every day, with amenities replenished. It had plenty of space for 16 days of clothes and a very comfortable king-size bed. The hotel is ideally placed for walking around Trieste, with lots of restaurants nearby. It's on a pedestrian walkway, so sitting outside feels comfortable without traffic. Our family, who are spread throughout Trieste, could easily pick us up for their plans. AYA is a big reason we enjoyed the stay so much.
