Tucked above a shopping center in central Trieste, this little bed and art place was a real favorite of mine. The bed was comfortable, the facilities were pretty good, and the hosts were very attentive. You can cook there too if you want. A couple of things were awkward: the shower is completely exposed, so it really only works for couples or solo travellers, and there isn't much daylight. There are also a lot of keys to manage. When I left in the morning, I had to work out how to get out of the shopping center while leaving the keys in the apartment. They need a better arrangement for that.

Being right in the city center is a real plus, and it was easy to get in touch with the owners. The corridor always smelled lovely, and there was a cafe one floor down where you could get a good coffee.

The room itself was clean and nicely done, but there was loud construction just 15 metres from the windows. The check-in code wasn't ready, which caused confusion with our room and other guests. Sorting things out with the hosts took a lot of time and was stressful.

The apartment was quiet, and my mother and I slept really well during our two nights in Trieste. Everything was new and working properly, and the kitchenette had all we needed to cook. The owner was extremely polite and always available if we needed anything. It's also very conveniently located for walking to the attractions. The nearby Despar has everything you might need for breakfast and more, and the paid parking lot associated with the building is within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay in Trieste. Thanks for the hospitality, and best wishes from Mantua and Moscow.
