Le Terrazze

We had a lot of trouble getting into the accommodation. The place felt stark and impersonal. On Booking.com it sounded like a very large apartment, but a lot of the space was wasted or in odd places. Few facilities seemed to be working properly, and the lighting and power outlets were poorly placed.

The apartment is central and close to just about everything, with plenty of room, and it was clean. It has cooking and storage facilities, a washing machine, and a clothes dryer on the balcony. There's no grocery supply, since it's self-catering, but a supermarket is about 100 yards away: turn left as you leave the hotel, then take the first right. Turn right and take the first right for a cracking restaurant. Really, it's all on the doorstep. Check-in was easy, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Remember to press the button with the orange light to switch on the stairway lights, even if you're using the lift. Also check your plug adapters, since Italian ones differ from those in other European countries. I couldn't fault the hotel, the communication, the help, or the value for money. I'd definitely stay again.

Large apartments, a central location, and great value for money. They have kitchens, dishwashers, washing machines, heating, air conditioning, and safes. Some units have a bathtub, while others have a shower. Pets are welcome. Parking costs extra and needs to be reserved in advance, or you can park on the street. There isn't free parking nearby.

The location near the Grand canal is convenient, but garbage trucks outside our window woke us several times during the night. Our room was fine, though the AC didn't work well and we had to buy our own toilet paper. Limited concierge hours made check-in stressful and left us questioning the hotel's security. This "hotel" doesn't feel like a hotel, more like a bad Airbnb. Unless you're on a tight budget, I don't recommend it to American tourists. I guess we got what we paid for.
