There was plenty of helpful local information in the shared hallway, including brochures for places to see in Trieste and glass mugs to use. In my room, I had an instant coffee maker and kettle, with chocolates, tea, coffee, and biscuits neatly set out at check-in. The room was spotless, and the residence is a short walk from both the canal and train station. It occupies the third floor of an apartment building, with what looked like six or seven rooms converted from one apartment. I'd stay here again if I come back to Trieste.

The owner was great, and the location is good. It’s affordable for Trieste, too. Just be prepared to climb three flights of stairs.

We booked at the last minute and they were very accommodating. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable, in a fantastic location. Parking is quite limited, so we sometimes spent a while looking for a space for a couple of hours. There’s plenty of free parking from 8pm to 7:30am. We loved our stay!

The minimalist interior is beautiful, and the little lobby has coffee and tea along with maps and directions. We stayed in room #1, with a blue interior, a painting I liked, and a window over the city street. Opening it let in the street sounds, but shut it and it was completely quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was a nice closet, shelves, and an electric kettle. The bathroom was well equipped, with a large shower. Everything was very clean. Getting around was easy. Residenza Corso Saba is about a 10-minute walk from the bus and train station, close to restaurants and cafes, and within easy walking distance of Trieste's sights. Entry felt safe and secure, communication with the host was easy, and check-in was simple. We buzzed from street level and climbed a few flights. They also offer free luggage storage for a while after checkout if you need it.

A really personal touch and great service, very close to the city center. Free tea and coffee in the room were a nice extra. Parking with a car and trailer is difficult, though not impossible.
