Chef Giorgio Bonato brings fresh ingredients together in a brilliant mix of tradition and innovation. The wine list is substantial, with top regional varieties as well as excellent picks from other parts of Italy. Customer service was outstanding. Definitely worth trying.

Sandra, the host and owner, makes you feel at home right away with how warm and welcoming she is. The former convent has been rebuilt to keep its old-time look and feel, and it's spacious and peaceful. Trinto is about an hour from Torino and Milano. That suited us, but you'll need a car to get around. A few days or even a week at Sandra's is a great idea, with very good value for money. It could also be a perfect wedding venue: there's a real, large church of its own, not just a small chapel. We'll definitely be back.
