Hotel Pausa

My father, a friend, and I stopped in after reading all the great reviews. Before hitting the road again, we shared homemade apfelstrudel mit crème, and I left with a full belly and a smile. The service was excellent. It's a family-run hotel, and the owner came over before we left to ask how everything was and what we thought of the food. That was really kind and showed how much they care for their customers. For the main courses, we tried different Knödel variations, with speck and cheese. I had the hauseplatter/dish, a mix of meats, würst, and more knödel on a lovely Sauerkraut bed. I really liked it, especially the speck, my favorite. My friend had the carpaccio, and everything was excellent. The antipasto was a platter of charcuterie, speck, ham, prosciutto, cheese, and pickles. Everything was homemade, and you could tell from the amazing taste. This was the best Südtiroler speck I've had in my twenty-six years. A must if you're in Südtirol. I'd recommend it 100 percent and will be back soon!

We had a great holiday here. The accommodation was cozy and clean, and this family hotel has a long tradition. The staff were always kind and helpful. The food was excellent, made with local ingredients, and served in large, tasty portions. Thank you :-)

Set high in the hills, this place has an amazing mountain view. The food and wine were excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

We had lunch with the family and everything was good. We've eaten here before, though, and I have to say the quality seems to get worse each year.
