Breakfast was a treat, with warm fresh croissants and meat and cheese served in a lovely dining room. The place has a distinctive historic feel, from the huge entrance door to the antique pieces, including a bishop's wardrobe and a writing desk. Our room had a comfortable bed, a nice shower, and plenty of space and privacy. The large windows looked across at Duomo and down onto Via Roma, where people were shopping and bands came through. One window opened onto an inner courtyard. I really loved it.

Breakfast was fantastic, among the best B&B breakfasts we had on our trip through Italy. The place has an authentic feel, a nice interior, and a very friendly staff. It's well placed for walking around town, though getting to the beach can be a bit of a trek.

We stayed a while ago and kept putting off writing, but it was such a lovely visit that we wanted to say so. Maria took extra care every day, cooking special meals for everyone and making breakfast. She even bought lactose-free food for us. The accommodation felt homely, and everyone was warm and attentive. We were right in the heart of the city, and would happily return anytime. In the old town, right across from the cathedral, this place has lovely rooms in an old palazzo. Breakfast was wonderful, and the service was super friendly. Highly recommended.

The Cathedral view was a real plus and helped make up for some problems. Our room was on the second floor of a historic building, part of a former home now split into three with shared areas. We couldn't park nearby because cars aren't allowed in. There was no hot water from the start, and the electricity went off one evening, though they fixed that overnight. At the fixed breakfast, we asked for another slice of bread and were told that wasn't possible. We got three slices for two people, or could have packaged toast instead.
