Stefano was super helpful, with suggestions for places to visit and eat. I was there off season, so the bar and reception were closed, but the instructions for getting into my room were clear. It was spotless and well equipped, and breakfast had plenty of choice at the adjacent bar. The location was hard to beat, right in the center and close to the beaches.

Stefano was a great source for food and things to see. He even helped us get a first row spot right by the water at lido isola Bella, recommended a good pizza place for a quick late night meal, and gave us a bottle of Champagne on our last night. Breakfast was included, simple and culturally delicious. The hotel is just steps from both the beach and the old town.

Stefano, the owner, made the stay memorable with how friendly, helpful, and thoughtful he was. He gave us great restaurant addresses and tips for our visits, and helped us out when we had car trouble. The location is perfect, and we loved the included breakfast, especially the American breakfast. Our recently renovated room was modern, spacious, comfortable, and spotless. We had a fantastic stay at Don Ugo and would definitely return. Clearly deserves 5 stars 😊

From when we arrived until we left, the staff looked after every need and went beyond what we expected. Stefano picked us up from the parking lot, carried everything to our room, and was wonderful when it was time to say goodbye. He and the team recommended places to go, got us into great gatherings, and arranged lovely days for us when all we had asked for was a beautiful sunset. Everyone was smiling, and the place was clean. Stefano made a huge difference to our time in Tropea. This is the only place I'd click to book again without hesitation. Thank you all for a magical stay.

The room worked well for our family of 4, with plenty of space, and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the cafe was very nice, and the food was very good. The beach is a short walk from the room and down the stairs, with a beautiful lido at the bottom. Stefano was especially helpful and responsive throughout, and we really appreciated the hospitality. We had an amazing stay at Don Ugo, just wish we'd had longer in Tropea. We'll definitely come back, and I highly recommend it.
