Franco's House Tropea

Maria was a great staff member, helping us with everything and sharing good suggestions for restaurants and other nearby things. Our room was modern and very clean, with a comfortable bed and a mini-fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. They cost extra, but were still a welcome touch. The place is close to everything in Tropea, and I can highly recommend Franco’s House.

Right in central Tropea, this was an excellent place to stay. Maria Antoinetta was a wonderful, helpful host.

Maria Anton!etta contacted us on WhatsApp before we arrived and helped sort out our arrival, check-in, and parking in a public lot just a few meters away. She was incredibly sweet, gracious, and accommodating, and gave us a list of local restaurants. We tried one and loved it. She also introduced us to Biagio, the older gentleman who owns the shop next door. He shared tips about Tropea's beautiful public beach, and we bought towels and an umbrella from him at a great price. The B&B is a gem, with an ideal spot near the beach, restaurants, and the historic center's charming paved streets and alleys. We stayed two nights and found everything perfect. The rooms are new, clean, and well equipped, with a lovely ocean-inspired design and an amazing glass-enclosed shower. There was even a Lavazza espresso maker, and the coffee was delicious each morning. It's in the heart of town, just steps from the stairs down to the main beach and a beautiful plaza where we watched the sunset. You really should go there for it. The sunset was so incredible that everyone clapped like they'd just seen a performance of a lifetime, and it felt that way. Highly recommended. Recently renovated and lovely, right in the center of Tropea. The service was attentive, and the place was clean and comfortable. You can walk to the beach and to all sorts of places Tropea has to offer, including restaurants, gelaterias, bars, motorbike hire, and shops.
