Tropea Casa Scirocco

The owners couldn’t have been kinder, though I was disappointed that they don’t speak English and hope they can improve that someday. Still, I’d recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone traveling there by car. I’d give it 10 out of 10! My dad and I stayed in Tropea for 14 days (5. - 19.9.), and choosing Casa Scirocco was THE BEST decision I could’ve made. We traveled more than 1900km and arrived around 9am. Check-in officially starts at 2:30pm, but our room was ready at 12am! On our last day, we had to leave the apartment at 6am, before breakfast was served at 8am, and the owner brought us breakfast the evening before. They cleaned the apartment every day and gave us fresh towels every second day. They even cleaned our beach towels daily, and there was an umbrella in the room, which was fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. A microwave was the only piece of equipment missing, but it wasn’t necessary. Breakfast was fresh, with homemade marmalades and sweet pastries.

The neighborhood around this B&B might not look very inviting, but once inside, you’re greeted with a big smile and colourful, tastefully designed rooms. Ours had a tropical theme, and the place was cleaner than many hotels. Almost every room has an ocean view, plus a cooking corner and table on the balcony. I was impressed by how beautiful and clean the property was. It’s run by a lovely young mom and her husband. I highly recommend staying here. Good job !!!

A fantastic place, though it can get a bit noisy at times.

Giuliana and her husband were so kind, helpful, and discreet. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range of things to choose from. The location was great, just a few minutes by car from the city center or the beach. If we come back to this area, we’ll definitely stay with them again!
