There's a lovely pool, and plenty of options for day trips, from nearby Borghetto and Castiglione del Lago to Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Florence, and Pisa. Even Rome is within reach. We recently returned to Villa Roccaccia near Lake Trasimeno in Tuoro sul Trasimeno for a second visit, and had a wonderful time again. Henny and Janny are very hospitable, and the accommodation is spotless. It certainly won't be our last stay.

Friendly hosts, and if they invite you to dinner, say yes. You'll be delighted! Villa Roccaccia has three clean, comfortable, well-kept apartments, surrounded by olive groves and meadows. It's less than a kilometer and a half from Tuoro village on Lake Trasimeno, and makes an excellent base for exploring Umbria and Tuscany.

Janny and Hennie welcomed us so warmly, and we got to enjoy your hospitality for nine days in such a beautiful setting. We even helped pick olives, which was great fun. In the afternoons we went sightseeing, visiting lots of little villages and getting a taste of Italian life. Amazing!

Villa Roccaccia sits in the beautiful Umbrian hills and has three apartments. It's clean and tidy, with everything thought of, and the hosts are top-notch. Highly recommended!
