Villa Franca B&B

The accommodation was fresh and just as described, and the peaceful, cozy setting made for a relaxing weekend. Our hosts welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home straight away. We had a really nice stay.

The owner is welcoming and clearly passionate about looking after the place, though she can be a little too talkative at times. Breakfast was fine, but some cups weren't very clean. The room was adequate, with a rather penny-pinching feel: only two light bulbs worked and the others were missing. Air conditioning costs an extra €10 each time, so it's probably better not to use it. There were no bathroom products. The location is excellent, with lots of lovely places reachable within half an hour.

The room was a bit dirty, and the services were basically nonexistent. There were no shower products, so bring your own, and no hairdryer. Although there was air conditioning, we were told not to use it because the bills would get too high. We also had to switch off lights right away and were told not to bring sand in from outside. It felt like being in a barracks, even though the B&B itself isn't bad and could improve a lot. We were disappointed, as our expectations had been higher. The reservation had mistakenly been made for three people instead of four, leaving out our 7-year-old. I explained that she'd share the large bed and that none of us would have breakfast because we had to leave very early. The lady didn't even give us a pillow for her, but still asked us to pay the difference despite her not using anything. That extra charge would have made sense if we'd used an extra bed and breakfast.

The room was spacious and always clean, and I felt very comfortable there. The house and the scenery were beautiful. Every morning Signora Franca cooked fresh eggs just the way I like them. She made me feel at home and looked after my big Pitt pup too.
