The staff were especially lovely, including the woman working at breakfast, and reception were super friendly. When I needed to iron a shirt, they brought me an iron quickly. I stayed for a few days in June for a conference, and the air conditioning handled the heat well. The room was maintained nicely, though it looked dated, and the balcony was huge with a great view of Torino. Bottled water was provided, and the metro and bus stop are each about a five-minute walk away. I’d recommend the hotel, though I took off a point for the old-fashioned rooms and the slight distance from the city centre.

The staff were kind and did everything they could to help when our room stayed hot during the hottest part of late June. The old air conditioner ran but couldn’t cool the room enough. They gave us breakfast for the stay, even though we hadn’t originally paid for it, and moved us to another room where the AC seemed a little better and it was somewhat cooler. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Hotel Giotto is quiet, well located for walking to lots of places, and only a short drive from the city centre. It’s very affordable, though you shouldn’t expect especially nice rooms at that price. Parking on the street costs extra.
Ms. Sabina, the receptionist, made our visit especially memorable. She greeted us warmly, was cheerful and genuinely kind, and helped with every request, from suggesting local sights to arranging transport and bringing extra amenities. We felt well looked after throughout our stay, and her professionalism and care for guests reflect well on the hotel. Giotto itself was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and had excellent amenities. Its location was convenient for exploring the city. I’d highly recommend it for a pleasant stay and attentive service. Thank you, Ms. Sabina.
The room had comfortable beds and quilts, plus a TV with an HDMI port, which made it easy to hook up my tablet. Bring your own cable. There were plenty of power sockets, though no USB ones, so pack an adapter for phones or iPads. Breakfast included cheese, ham, boiled eggs, fruit, and yoghurt. The hotel was very clean and well cared for on a quiet backstreet. I did hear other guests now and then, but it wasn't enough to keep me awake. I didn't spot a ramp, so wheelchair access from the street could be a problem.
For the price, the quality is really quite good. It's a good hotel, though some rooms don't have showers, and the sofa was a little dusty.
