We had no reception, and the place is a little way from the centre. I think the host lives downstairs, since she opened her own flat door to hand over the keys. There are two rooms in the apartment. Ours was quite comfortable, and the bed was fine.

It’s outside the centre, but the tram or bus stop for Porta Nuova is only a two- or three-minute walk away. The apartment was spotless and seemed to be cleaned every day. The kitchen is spacious and has complimentary coffee. The double room is enormous, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. There’s a TV in the room, Wi-Fi and linens, though you only get one set per person and a second set costs extra. That makes it best suited to a short stay, but it has everything you need.
