Le Stanze Di Sara

The best part of my stay was meeting Cécile and Salvatore. They were warm, welcoming, and so helpful, and that kind of hospitality makes traveling feel special. I’ve been to Turin three times now, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to Le stanza Di Sara. The apartment has a lovely old-world feel, with tasteful decor and a large, airy room. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the French door opened onto a sweet little balcony. There’s an elevator up to the first floor, which helped with luggage, plus AC if you need it. I found that leaving the door open brought in a cool breeze. Soap and shampoo were provided, and the shared living area had a kitchen, coffee machine, kettle, tea, and biscuits. It’s in a lively area with plenty of places to eat and drink, about five minutes from the train station. The tourist information center is opposite the station, and the main sights are within walking distance.

The owners made us feel welcome and were very kind. We spent four nights in the suite, which was spacious and charmingly decorated. There was coffee and herbal tea for guests to make themselves. A few things could be better: the lighting was dim, there weren’t outlets by the bed, and the shower water could have been hotter.

Cecile was so kind when she welcomed us, and her suggestions for dinner nearby were incredibly useful. The room was comfortable and well looked after, and the B&B is in a very convenient spot.

The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the B&B is in a great part of Turin. We paid €300 for three nights, not including tourist tax. The owners were kind, though arrangements seemed to revolve around the owner's schedule, including dinners, commitments with the children, and payment. The entrance was awkward, with very narrow doors and lights in inconvenient places. Guests in the other room could accidentally switch lights that affected ours, since one switch was by our headboard and another was in the hallway. The bathroom fixtures were awkwardly placed, with a hazardous step between them. Breakfast wasn't included, and we hadn't been told to expect it. A small suggestion: make sure there's one coffee pod per guest, so a couple gets two. The Gran Cereal biscuits were delicious, though some variety would be nice.
