The only real drawback was the soundproofing. From a road-facing room, you can hear the neighbors as well as cars and people outside. Otherwise it's a small hotel with lovely staff and a nice breakfast, very centrally placed and within walking distance of Porta Nuova train station.

The hotel is okay and very conveniently located, with decent value for the price. At night there was a lot of noise in the corridor, and a big crack under the door let both light and sound into the room.

The bed was hard, and the room felt cramped. I was on the ground floor with no view, just a frosted window that wouldn't open. I couldn't adjust the air conditioning myself either, I had to call or go down to the front desk to switch it on or off.

For the price, this was good value: €107 for one person for two nights. It's a simple hotel in a handy spot near Porta Nuova, and check-in was easy. The receptionist was very friendly. My main issue was the noise. The walls are paper-thin and the windows don't shut properly, so it can get loud.
