NH Torino Centro

Breakfast was super tasty, served in a large room with plenty on offer. The hotel is clean, quiet inside despite being on a main road in Turin, and well placed. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom had body lotion, shower gel and lots of towels. Internet was decent, with faster speeds available for an extra charge. It's an easy 15-20 minute walk into the town center.

The biggest problem was the HVAC. It was out during our stay, so we had no heat or air conditioning and the room got extremely hot. I couldn't sleep. The front desk suggested opening the window, then offered an oscillating fan, but it barely helped. I eventually shut the window because of the constant police and ambulance sirens, along with bugs coming in. I even thought about moving to another hotel. There were other odd issues too. We heard TV sounds even though our set was off. When I called, the front desk knew what I meant right away, which made it seem like a recurring problem. Maintenance came quickly and fixed it, but it was unsettling. For an overnight stop on our drive through Italy, the hotel was clean and comfortable in the usual city hotel way, and staff tried to help. But room service was closed most of the week, food options were very limited, and the breakfast provided was lackluster compared with other hotels we stayed at. The maintenance issues and lack of amenities made for a disappointing visit. With some improvements, it could offer the comfort and service expected of its reputation.

A very nice hotel for the price and quality. It's a five-minute walk from Porta Susa station. I'd definitely come back.

The breakfast buffet was generous, and the staff were lovely. We also liked the lounge. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a nice wardrobe. The location is great for getting around: there's a bus stop right outside, the metro is across from the hotel, and tram lines are two minutes away. There's a nice cafe on the same street. Only complaint: there were no tea bags or coffee creamer in the room.
