Saluzzo Paesana 1718

This was awful, and I'm incredibly disappointed we picked it over other places. Even one night felt like too much. The staff were unfriendly, the beds creaked and were uncomfortable, and the tub didn't work. There was no bathroom in the room, so we had to cross the hall. The owner has set the lights there to switch off after five seconds without movement, which is especially unsettling for me as a schizophrenic person. The old parquet is so noisy that you hear people walking in the hall and guests three floors above. The street noise comes through at night too, and the windows barely open. The whole place felt more like a ghosthouse than a guesthouse. There's nothing in the neighbourhood that would make me choose it over other options, and the elevators lock after 7 pm, so you can't use them. Please avoid this hotel, even if another place costs a little more. Don't be misled by the “positive” TripAdvisor reviews. I'm certain they're based on the suites, though even those aren't worth the price for the poor service. They usually put you in a lower floor room, not a suite. Go somewhere else.
