Allegria

My second-floor room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with plenty of room to walk around and store my luggage. The bathroom was excellent, especially the shower. Internet was quite good, though the signal was stronger in the lobby. Breakfast had a decent range of food and drinks, but the room for it is small. There's also a restaurant attached that looked very good, though I didn't try it because I was visiting friends and we went out. The hotel is nice, close to Udine's center, and offers covered private parking for an extra charge. I'd recommend it for a trip to Udine, whether for work or pleasure.

The food is delicious, with local and international options across pasta, soups, meat, and fish. The ingredients are very fresh and high quality, and the prices reflect that. Staff know their wines and help guests choose good pairings, while service is quick. The hotel and restaurant are in a recently renovated building, where contemporary touches and old country features make a well-balanced mix. Everything was remarkably clean, including the restrooms. Definitely recommended.

A really comfortable, lovely place for a short stay, with spacious rooms that feel freshly furnished. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the little bar has a relaxed feel. Allegria is close to Udine's city center and has a great restaurant where you can try local produce. Highly recommended.

The room's air conditioning didn't work properly, which made sleeping difficult during the heatwave. The town section where the hotel is located is undergoing major reconstruction, so we couldn't drive up to it and hadn't been warned ahead of time. This was also the only hotel we visited in Italy that didn't properly follow or put Covid measures into practice. They didn't check visitors' Covid status, and staff didn't seem concerned about wearing masks. Two stars for being near the old town and for the relatively low price.
