Best Western Hotel Continental

The breakfast was the low point for us. Its buffet was confusingly arranged, with sweets and pastries first and just a few main breakfast choices at the far end. The selection was limited, and our children struggled to find something, especially since the bread was too hard for them. A second little buffet sat in a separate corner near the tables, without clear signs, and the space felt cramped. The coffee machine also seemed in poor shape and below what I'd expect at a 4-star hotel. I'd rate breakfast one star. We stayed one night at the Best Western Hotel Continental in Udine with our two children, and the rest of the visit was pleasant. The room was very clean, with comfortable bedding, good towels, and the toiletries we needed. We all slept well and had a lovely view. Check-in and checkout were quick and smooth, and the reception staff were friendly and professional. The clean room and helpful staff made the rest of the stay a positive one.

The young receptionist, whose father is Brazilian, gave us thoughtful, dedicated help in Portuguese. Great, personal service.

The staff were lovely throughout, from the front desk to the breakfast room, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The location isn't bad at all, just a little way from the center, about a six-minute drive. It was a great base while we were in Udine.

The rooms are the one drawback. The air conditioning and TV setup doesn't make much sense, and the shower and bathrooms could use a dedicated cleaning company from time to time. Still, the staff were fantastic, the breakfast was phenomenal, and the location works well for getting to other places. Great service overall.
