B&B Casa De Mare

The beaches are only two minutes away, and the breakfast made with local suppliers was so good. The people there are lovely and always ready to help. We'll definitely stay again!

The location was a real plus: the B&B is 100 meters from the first beach at Lido Marini, with shops, restaurants, a bakery, bars, a minimarket, and more close by. It’s also handy for getting around Salento, about 15 minutes by car from Torre San Giovanni, 10 minutes from the Maldives, 5 minutes from Torre Mozza, and just over 20 minutes from Santa Maria di Leuca. For August, the value for money was quite good. Breakfasts on the terrace were varied and generous, with Salento pasticciotto, and the room had a Smart TV. The bathroom shower was spacious, though the partly blocked drain flooded the floor several times. The bed felt like we sank into it, and the pillows didn’t feel like much support. There were loads of mosquitoes, so we ended up fighting them with rackets and mosquito coils, even though there was Wi-Fi outside the window. The B&B Wi-Fi was terrible and unusable at first. After a few days, they put us on another network that was reasonably good. Staff helped sort out issues, but they often contacted us on WhatsApp. They weren’t around apart from breakfast in the morning, so for problems we had to message and wait until the next day. Room cleaning and towel changes also weren’t done daily as stated. We had a pretty good stay, but there’s quite a bit that could be improved.

Breakfast was excellent, and the woman serving it greeted us with a lovely smile and was so friendly. The room was charming, tastefully furnished, and impeccably managed. Its central location was still quiet, which made the stay feel just right. We didn’t get to meet the owner in person, but we’re sure he’s a great host. Thank you for such a wonderful welcome.

We had such a good time, and the hosts’ hospitality and helpfulness were beyond belief. The B&B feels modern and welcoming, with an excellent breakfast, basic but well-kept rooms, and easy parking. The location is excellent too. I can’t thank the owners enough. We’ll definitely be back.
