We left CalaBlu in Ugento deeply disappointed. We booked after being told that B&B guests had the same rights and access to services as people staying in the main hotel, but the difference in treatment was enormous from the start. We paid for the club card and got no benefits at all. Our room had broken air conditioning, a shower that sprayed water everywhere, and a missing section of the shower enclosure. Breakfast was disorganized too. There was no table set aside for B&B guests, so we had to wait for someone to get up before we could sit. We also argued with the metro, who blamed guests for some problems instead of apologizing. At the beach, B&B guests were ignored by staff and treated like second-class guests. The reception, dining room, and kitchen staff all fell short of the promises made by the property. We found the service unprofessional, with no customer care. That’s unacceptable for a place that presents itself as a 4-star hotel. The experience fell far short of what we expected, and the service and treatment weren’t up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. If respect, transparency, and a peaceful vacation matter to you, absolutely avoid CalaBlu in Ugento. Highly not recommended.

Cala Blu Rooms is a wonderful place, about 100 meters from the sea and Lido Pazze, and very close to corso Annibale in Torre San Giovanni. I spent a week there with my family and can only praise the stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely furnished, and the staff were kind and friendly, ready to meet guests’ requests when possible. I especially want to commend Francesca and Nicole from the Cala Blu Rooms staff for their professionalism and willingness to help us. I’m grateful for their expertise, care for guests, and humanity. From July 8th to July 15th, 2023, we had a truly wonderful stay. The rooms were simply furnished, but the staff’s friendliness and, above all, the cleanliness really stood out. Each morning we enjoyed a good breakfast at the partner beach club, just steps from the hotel and right by the sea.

Breakfast was generous and satisfying, and the staff were friendly. Prices seemed average. The rooms are small but acceptable, and the location is convenient and quiet, just 50 meters from the beach. One issue was the floor cleaning: our little girls’ feet got completely dirty when they walked barefoot, so we had to ask for the floor to be cleaned again. Recommended.

We had a great week here. The rooms were immaculate and smelled lovely, and breakfast at the Lido Pazze was a sure thing, with lots to choose from and generous croissants. Everyone on the young staff was polite, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended.
