Roberta and Cristian were warm and welcoming, always ready with suggestions for the best beaches. The B&B is in central Ugento, a handy starting point for the best beaches and towns around Salento. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with distinctive vaulted ceilings and a huge bathroom with a shower that felt special. The communal garden, where breakfast is served, was a lovely spot to relax with the other guests. Breakfast was abundant and full of Salento specialties, especially the excellent pasticciotti. Great value for money, and we had a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Roberta had such a lovely presence, discreet, attentive, and kind, and the owner was always helpful, with good tips for local festivals and beaches. The first week of August at this fabulous B&B completely won us over. The garden is enchanting and kept beautifully, just through the entrance door. I even picked a couple of figs, and they were priceless eaten fresh 😉. Our room was carefully designed, with gorgeous vaulted stone ceilings, and you can feel the love and care throughout the place. Breakfast was very good, thoughtfully prepared with typical Salento products. Corte Mercurio, thank you for the holiday. I recommend it wholeheartedly. 🤍

We only spent a night here during a cycling trip, but it would be a wonderful choice for a peaceful, beautiful holiday. The garden is a great place to read or sunbathe if you’d rather not head to the beach, and they kept our bikes safe too. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, with every little detail taken care of. Breakfast was a full buffet of local products, and the hostess was super friendly and helpful. The owners, whom we spoke with by phone, were also attentive and kind. Ugento was one of the loveliest towns on our cycling route. Highly recommended, top in every way.

For the past two years, B&B Corte Mercurio has been our wonderful home during an unforgettable three-week Salento holiday, from late August to mid-September. We’re a family of three and have always booked the Le Muse suite, with its large bedroom and bathroom, including a huge tub and shower. Cristian and Marta, together with the irreplaceable Roberta, are at the heart of the warm hospitality. They make sure guests have a special stay, with thoughtful touches for every need. Breakfast is generous and varied, and cleanliness is impeccable. We’re sure to return next summer for another long, relaxing stay.
