The B&B itself is beautiful and clean, and the owners have added some distinctive pieces made on their farm. We loved the rooftop terrace for aperitifs after the beach, and there were delicacies at the grocery store 50 metres away, open until 10 pm, for a small fee. Staff were very attentive, though breakfast was basic and could use a savoury option. Ugento worked well as a base for the whole coast, with the highway to the beaches just a minute away, yet evenings were incredibly quiet and relaxing. There aren't many places to eat out in Ugento, but good alternatives aren't hard to find. We stayed for a week in late August 2017. The owners have renovated with incredible taste and are intensely focused on quality, but still seem a little unsure about welcoming guests warmly and offering suggestions. You can tell they're entrepreneurs focused on their main business and are still getting to grips with this new venture. We'll definitely be back, if only to see how much Caterina has grown!

Mrs. Ada's courtesy, dedication, and kindness became clear to us day by day during our stay in early September 2017. We had one of the bed and breakfast rooms, so breakfast was included, with lots of delicious Salento sweets. We still dream about the "pasticciotto leccese" at night! The apartment we saw was just as beautiful, elegant, and refined as the rooms. The home is in an alley in the historic centre of Ugento, and parking was easy to find on nearby streets about 50 metres away. We were struck as soon as we arrived by the care and taste of the restoration of this historic home in the old village. Not to be missed! 👍😋

The shared terrace area was lovely for lingering in the evening, with its outdoor shower, tables, and sofas, and the quiet, cool village air. Ada showed us around after welcoming us. Our room had a fireplace, air conditioning we hardly used, charming handmade decorations, and a beautiful shower. It wasn't large, but the space was well used. The beds and pillows were new and very comfortable, with memory foam, and the bathrooms were super clean, which matters to us. There's a lot of character to the place, and you notice the cleanliness as soon as you walk in. The rooms are small, which gives a nice sense of privacy. Depending on the wind, though, there was a strong smell of soot, and we found quite a bit of dust under the bed. Breakfast included local and traditional pastries, fruit, and drinks. We had a really good stay. There was parking outside for our motorcycle, but not for our car. We met the owner and would be happy to return.

Our second visit confirmed how much we liked the first. It's a clean, welcoming B&B with excellent management, very helpful owners, and a particularly kind Ada. We'll certainly come back.

The historic centre is magical, and this beautifully furnished 16th-century residence has a stunning rooftop terrace. Antonio, you're so kind. I hope I can return.
