La Ginestra Residence

The owners were incredibly kind, always smiling as they welcomed guests and prepared breakfast. The breakfast was superb, and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I spent a few days in Ugento over the Immaculate Conception long weekend and stumbled across this B&B. It was the best option I could have found. Anyone staying in Ugento for a few days should really consider this lovely place.

I only stayed a few days, but it was enough to know I’d like to return. The place is quiet and pleasant, and very welcoming. Service was kind and attentive.

The house was very clean and in a decent location, but the description didn’t match what we found. We stayed in the apartment for four days with no working Wi-Fi, toilet flush, or oven. We reported the problems and were told each day that they’d be fixed the next day, but nothing changed. For all four days we had to flush using a bucket of water. We’d specifically asked for one double and one triple room, but when we arrived, the apartment had been set up as two doubles plus a sofa bed, with no chance to change it.

The residence is handy for getting around, since it's close to the Gallipoli-Leuca motorway and lets you avoid the coastal road, which is always busy. The three-bedroom apartment works really well for a beach holiday, and there's good food and excellent breakfast downstairs at very low prices. Highly recommended!
