Masseria Gialli

We had dinner here with the whole family years ago, and it was a wonderful food experience. The dishes were exquisite and nicely balanced, and the wine cellar was excellent. We were enchanted by the setting, too. Take a good look at the photos of the farmhouse interior.

The dining is worth considering for a romantic evening. The food is good and uses produce from the farm, so the dishes are simple. There’s no fixed menu, the chef cooks according to what the land provides each day. I’d expected more traditional cooking or homemade pasta, which I know they make. Even the arrival is a pleasure, following narrow lanes through olive trees full of color and scent. The recently renovated complex feels like an oasis among the trees, some centuries old. The central building is beautiful, with high barrel-vaulted ceilings, elegant decor, and lots of details from its former life as an olive oil mill.

For the past 3 years, I’ve spent my holidays at Masseria Gialli twice a year. The place is simply fantastic. There’s hardly anything more I can add.

The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. We felt welcome and comfortable the whole time, and it was a really relaxing stay.
