Nauticus Hotel Ugento

Great for a short stay, about a week. The hotel is right by the ocean, with beaches a short walk away. Supermarkets are nearby, and street markets are held there often.

It’s a new property with tasteful decor, modern but still welcoming. The rooms were spotless and smelled fresh, the bed was comfortable, and they’d paid attention to the details. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home. The beach is really close, just a 5-minute walk to get your feet in the sand. Fantastic stay, I’ll definitely be back.

Nauticus offers a wonderful evening experience: dinner with the sea and breeze, in the shade of the magical Torre San Giovanni lighthouse and with a breathtaking view. The location and scenery are spectacular. The owner and staff provide high-level service, with real kindness and professionalism. The setting is stunning, the dishes are fantastic and the ingredients are high quality. You can really taste the Salento seafood, and there are delicious gluten-free options too. I absolutely recommend it for a summer visit to Salento 🌞.

The rooms are lovely, and the harbor lighthouse is beautiful. The location helps make up for the downsides, though there are a few: reception is nearly always empty, the restaurant downstairs gets chaotic, and the beaches are hard to access.
