The online photos were completely misleading and didn’t reflect what we found. We paid €90 a night, apparently under the table, and then had to pay another €10 for breakfast at a bar. Breakfast at the B&B was a table in the entrance hall with no chairs, just a coffee machine and two cheap discount snacks. There was no milk, juice, yogurt, jam, or toast. The place has dated 1950s furniture, and the toilet is practically inside the shower. If you don’t close the curtain properly, the whole bathroom floods. We were greeted by the cleaner, who wasn’t at fault; the one nearly positive point was that the place was clean. No documents were requested and no receipt was issued, as the owner wasn’t there. We had stayed about ten years ago, but something has clearly changed, perhaps the management. Don’t be fooled by the photos. This B&B, if it can be called that, is nowhere near a structure worthy of the name. Never again!

The location is the place’s strong point, and although there were quite a few shortcomings, we had a good time overall and will definitely return. The room was very spacious, though I’d add a small TV because kids can get bored. There were a few little changes I’d make to the room. Breakfast was frustrating: we’d get up and find nothing, since some guests would raid the food when it was put out the night before. The cleaner, “Vita,” raised the standard. Since breakfast was only coffee and she had a 13-year-old boy with her, there wasn’t anything for him, so she kindly brought us some juice the next day.

Other guests had left the breakfast area completely empty, but Mrs. Vita came by with more food and sorted it out. She was kind and helpful, and had waited for us to welcome us when we arrived. The location is excellent for getting to Otranto and the beaches.

The green waters of Porto Badisco and the beaches around Otranto are nearby, and the town has that unmistakable Salento feel. The property is beautiful and welcoming. Chiara and Rita were especially friendly and courteous, and their “pasticciotti” made an already excellent breakfast even better. Alberto and Claudia

A lovely base for reaching the area’s many attractions without much trouble. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Excellent!
