Camping Pineta

The views toward Urbino are lovely, and the camping pitches are shaded by beautiful trees. But the facilities were disappointing, especially for the price. The toilets and showers are in a shed. There was one dirty standard toilet without a seat, plus two or three very basic squat toilets. Spiders, mosquitoes, and insect larvae were around. The showers only had a crude valve for turning the water on, and the water was cold. Even with the nice-looking pool, 62€ a night for one RV, four people, and 3Amp electricity felt far too expensive.

Avoid this place. Of all the campsites we’ve visited, this was the worst. The toilets were dirty, and the manager was more than unfriendly. Doing the dishes was a real challenge because the water flow couldn’t be adjusted and came out so strongly that it soaked your shirt. Electricity cost an extra 4eur, but it kept cutting out every 30 min. The waste water area was also hard to reach because bushes scratched both sides of our camper.

The price was an outrage: we paid 40€ per day for two people, one camper, and electricity. Even with the new swimming pool and the great view over Urbino, it’s hard to justify that cost. The sanitary facilities were the worst part. You had to choose between old Italian earth closets and a regular toilet with no seat. The old showers didn’t let you adjust the water temperature either. I’ll never come back. :-(
