Our stay at Palazzo Giusti was an incredible experience, and we're already planning to return to Urbino with our teenage son. The hotel earned every bit of this praise, even though we hesitated to write such a glowing review because we wanted to keep our “secret gem” to ourselves. We took a lot of photos of our suite and the spa and are sharing a few so others can discover it. To stay at Palazzo Giustil is a real feast for the senses, with luxurious comfort and modern technology in a lively university town. The spa was the best we've ever experienced. It mixes the old world with modern technology, with massage jets in the pools, a Turkish bath, a superb sauna, emotional showers, and a relaxation area with a floating floor, zero-gravity loungers, and meditative music. Truly unreal. We stayed in the “Federico Commandino” suite, designed around the Italian mathematician and the three concentric ellipses Dr. Comandino studied while seeking to understand the center of gravitation. His work is woven into the furnishings and decor. The suite was enormous, with sky-high ceilings and divine frescoes throughout. The floors were heated to a perfect temperature, the bathroom was spacious and beautifully tiled, and there was a fresco above the shower. The shower pressure was great even with both heads running, and a large porcelain tub sat beneath a window. One rainy night, we opened the window and enjoyed a bath while listening to the rain. The hotel was chic and fully renovated, preserving the building's history and character while adding modern comforts. It was the most high-tech hotel we've stayed in, and somehow also the least expensive of the many lovely hotels we visited during our month in Italy last year, including in Rome, Matera, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast. Before we arrived, Palazzo Giusti communicated clearly and told us where to park temporarily in the ZTL so staff could help with our many suitcases. The gentlemen who came to assist were all smiles, and the welcome inside was just as warm. Valentina, along with her sweet dog, stood out: she was accommodating, informative, on top of everything we needed, and a real asset to Palazzo Giusti. The minibar was included, including small bottles of the delicious red and white Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo wines. We also received colazione/aperetivi vouchers for each person, for every day of our stay, to use at the Caffe in the nearby Piazza. The Caffe staff were charming, and the food was excellent. Being in the heart of the Piazza let us share in everyday life with university students, children on field trips, special events, art installations, and elderly people who showed us that life is about never stopping learning, digestion, aperetivi, and family, and that nothing should be taken too seriously when there's life to enjoy. Thank you, Palazzo Giusti. We can't wait to see you again next month!

We stayed here in August, and it was by far the best hotel of our trip. It felt one of a kind, with drinks in the fridge, breakfast included, a great location, and modern updates alongside the old Palazzo. The value for the price was incredible.

We only stayed one night and didn't have time to use the spa, but the staff showed us around and it looked incredible. The hotel is stunning, right in the heart of the city, with lots of great amenities. Its renovation preserves the historic charm beautifully. Next time we plan to stay much longer. Highly recommend it if you get the chance.

The rooms were beautiful, and the location was right in the center. We had trouble sleeping in our first-floor room because people at the kebab shop next door were noisy late into the night. Breakfast was served at a nearby bar, but the quality could be better for a four-star hotel. They might want to consider changing to a better bar.

The treatment was incredibly sensuous, and the spa itself was the most beautiful spa building I’ve ever seen. I spent two hours there and had a sublime morning. Absolutely fantastic, and I’d recommend it to anyone.
