The valley and mountain views were lovely, and the staff were welcoming and cheerful. The rooms were clean, though being in the forest means you might spot tiny spiders or other little bugs. Getting there by car meant a long drive on winding mountain roads, and although roadside parking is free, finding a space was so difficult that we ended up in a no-parking spot. There’s no air conditioning, so summer could be rough. We asked for a fan and they kindly brought one, but it didn’t cool the room; some neighbors slept with their doors open to get air. There’s no lift either, so expect to use the stairs. The bar on the first floor stays open past midnight, and you can hear people from the balcony. Quite an adventure 😊

Rita was so welcoming and patiently answered all our questions in excellent English, including about Pipo, the village’s pet wild boar. We were there for one night during a walking holiday, and the room looked out across the valleys. The local crowd clearly enjoys the friendly bar for an aperitivo, and dinner was an amazing regional seafood feast. A superb Albergo.
