In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Piazza Politeama, Regional Archaeological Museum and Chiesa di Sant'Agostino.

I booked through Booking.com in June for August 2023. The owners cancelled the reservation, which had free cancellation until quite close to the date. We then agreed directly that I’d pay almost €300 in advance by bank transfer. In July, a month before the trip, I told the owner that a serious health problem in my family meant we couldn’t come. He said he’d return my deposit, but I never received it. I don’t find these people very reliable. Be careful.

The return transfer to the port was a real problem. After a misunderstanding, they forgot about us, and getting there with our bags was difficult. The ride out had gone perfectly. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, though the mattress may have been the one drawback.

Mr. Franco was a delight, always ready to help and full of useful advice for getting around the island. The apartment was spacious and spotless, in a great spot near the town's main square, with a wonderful view. It was so quiet and peaceful. I’ll be back to Ustica, and I’ll come visit Mr. Franco again.

The beds were uncomfortable, the mattress was old, there was no bidet in the bathroom, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The location was decent. We had better luck at the same residence last year, so hopefully next year goes better.

The houses have a theme and were very clean. The owner was welcoming and kind. The property sits a little above sea level, which is saying something on such a high island as Ustica. Recommended.
