Erice's medieval village is close by, and I loved wandering around it. Give yourself most of a day to explore. The stay was clean and had what we needed, though nothing felt luxurious. It was quiet apart from the hosts dog barking. Parking meant leaving the van on the sidewalk, which was hard with my large vehicle.

Anna was easy to reach whenever we had questions, and the house had plenty of room, including spacious bedrooms and lots of places to sleep. It felt like being at home, with everything we needed. From there, it's easy to get to towns around Trapani, as well as Erice, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the Egadi Islands, and nearby mountains for walks. Well done, Anna!

The terrace was a highlight, with room for a barbecue and views across part of the Trapani area, Erice, the province, and the nearby Egadi Islands. The sunsets were breathtaking. Anna is warm and helpful, makes guests feel at home, and has all the comforts covered. She knows the area well and gives great suggestions for places and things to do. The location also makes getting around quick and easy, including to Trapani, Erice, Marsala, Mozia and its salt pans, Segesta, Scopello, Castellammare del Golfo, San Vito lo Capo, Monte Cofano and Zingaro nature reserves, Selinunte, and more. I'd definitely recommend staying at "Anna's house" to visit the area. ❤️

Anna walked us through all the details and made us feel looked after, with tips for a day boat trip to the Egadi Islands, restaurants, mountain trekking, and San Giuliano beach. The terrace is spectacular, looking out at Erice Castle and a sky full of stars. You can barbecue in the evening when it's not too windy. The house is detached, very spacious, and has three bedrooms, so it worked perfectly for our family or a group of friends. Everything was there to feel at home, and it's right in the heart of Valderice, near restaurants, grocery stores, and a bus stop for the main tourist attraction. A great base for Erice, San Vito, the Faraglioni di Scopello, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, and the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve. Thanks, Anna, for being so available.
