Brezza d'Estate

We stayed at Brezza d'Estate for two nights. The staff welcomed us warmly, showed us around the properties and shared lots of advice. Our apartment had two bedrooms and a large living room with a kitchen. It was a little too cold to try the swimming pool, though it was tempting. There's also a shared washing machine. The garden is beautifully kept, and the view is stunning.

Sandra gave us a warm welcome and a long, detailed introduction to the hotel and the area. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. The facilities are pleasant, and it's handy for visiting San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani and taking trips to Favignana. We appreciated the beach buckets and spades for families. With the kids, though, it was hard to relax around the pool because the rules were extremely strict and we often felt watched. One evening we were told off about noise when we weren't making any, and again we felt singled out and uncomfortable. Our family of five was given just two rolls of toilet paper for four nights, and asking for more turned awkward. The rooms aren't serviced, which was fine, but the pillows were uncomfortable and the shower had almost no pressure. Valderice is a ghost town with very little going on, which isn't the hotel's fault. The hotel is nice, staff are friendly and it's good value as a base for exploring western Sicily, but the atmosphere didn't feel especially comfortable for a family with children.

The apartment was fully equipped and the views were breathtaking, but my favourite part was the well-kept garden. The jasmine smelled so lush, and the pool view was amazing! Thank you again, Sergio, for being so gracious and accommodating. We'll miss this stunning place, and we'll definitely recommend your apartment to family and friends and come back ourselves. Our flat was comfortable, cool and had everything we could need. The biggest surprise was the newly built pool, looking out over an incredible sea and mountain view. Sergio and his whole family were so kind, welcoming and accommodating to our needs. His food and sightseeing recommendations were great. A beautiful setting and an unforgettable stay in Valderice.
