The landlord was really friendly and helpful, and there’s plenty to see and do nearby. This apartment makes a good base for exploring the area. It was very clean and spacious, with lovely decks looking out over the valley. There are two full bathrooms, a washing machine, and a large kitchen and dining room. Bring your own soap and kitchen supplies, since none were included.

Valerio, the owner, really tries to make your holiday comfortable and shares lots of information about the surrounding area. The apartments are about five minutes from the ski slopes, and many have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus parking and a garage. The hot-water shower gets super hot. Cooking facilities, hot water, and TV are provided, and the heating and energy use are also mindful of the environment.

We’ve stayed at Baita de Ciano in both summer and winter, and Valerio is always attentive and ready with suggestions. His love for his homeland and mountains shows in the details. The place is in good shape and clean, with warm wooden furnishings and plenty of comfortable space. It’s also in a handy spot, a few minutes from Bormio and halfway to Livigno.
