The people were what made my stay at Angora mountain resort so special. Manager Lino was gracious and welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure I had a great experience. Veronica was my main contact throughout the stay, always warm, kind and helpful. She made me feel cared for, showed me several places I asked about, and even brought the restaurant menu to the spa so I could order ahead without rushing out. The chef was thoughtful and kind too, adding little treats and surprises to make my meals memorable. Everyone there was among the kindest, most hospitable people I’ve met. The resort is in a beautiful, remote mountain setting with fresh, pure air. Guests have daily access to a spa with several saunas, hot tubs and a panoramic jacuzzi. There are mountains right nearby for hiking. I’d recommend Angora mountain resort if you’re after a relaxing getaway.

We chose this hotel for its convenient bus routes to the Olympic events in Livigno and Bormio, and the location worked out really well. Breakfast had a great choice and was excellent every morning. Dinner was brilliant too, with delicious, beautifully prepared food and attentive service from Saverio, Alessandro, Eugenia and Lucia. Corina, Thays and Raffaella from reception and the spa made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and the owners were warm, welcoming and genuinely wanted us to have a special stay. The spa was a real highlight and so relaxing. The rooftop hot tub is a must after a day out, and Raffaella’s Aufguss in the beautiful sauna was memorable, done with such care and skill. Thank you all for looking after us so well. We felt at home and will definitely be back.

It’s a quaint, rustic and friendly place, and the room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant served really satisfying food and wine. There’s great hiking in the surrounding mountains, just a quick drive up, so make sure you get there before dark. I recommend it.

Avoid this place. Five of us sat on the terrace around lunchtime hoping to order coffee and water. Three staff members ignored us completely, avoided eye contact and didn’t even let us know if they were too busy. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we left. I’ve never experienced service this rude in Italy.

Had dinner at their restaurant last Saturday. The staff were friendly, and the decor had a lovely mountain feel. The food was excellent. Their famous risotto was the best I’ve ever had!
