The host was friendly, welcomed us warmly, and shared tips for excursions. This is a brilliant base for all kinds of outings, with easy car access, a great garage, and plenty of room to park. The apartment for two on the first floor had everything we needed and was very well equipped. The building has four apartments on that floor, each furnished differently, with magnificent views of Bormio and the surrounding mountains. Getting to the city centre takes about 20 minutes on foot. The location above Bormio is excellent, and the property is super. There are only a few places to hang jackets, coats, and other clothes. I’d especially notice that if travelling in winter with lots of warm clothing. Also, access for everyone staying in the apartments goes past their front windows on the terrace, which felt a bit irritating. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The views across the village Bormio and the mountains are spectacular, and the chalet is right by the main gondola. The local Italian family running it greet you themselves and offer local delicacies. You can order freshly baked cornettos delivered to the chalet, and they bring wood for the open fire at no charge. It’s an amazing place, even better than the photos, and I warmly recommend it.

The owner is lovely and clearly wants guests to be happy. The chalet looks even better than the photos, with small touches that make a difference. Everything, from the appliances to the interior decor, feels top quality, and the place is spotless. We’ll be back.
