Valeggio is a lovely town with lots of nice restaurants and buildings. One evening we walked over the castle to Borghetto, which is incredibly pretty and has nice cafes and restaurants too. Lake Garda is a short drive away. We liked Sirmione, though it was very busy. At Il Bozzolo, the garden and swimming pool were well kept, and the kids loved the pool and Primo, the cute, friendly dog. The apartment was big, nicely decorated, and part of an impressive Italian grand house. Marco and Valentina were great hosts, always ready with advice about things to see and do. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would love to return when we’re next in the area.

The location was good and the host was nice, but the garden was very run down and the apartment wasn’t great. If you book based on the photos on booking.com, you may be disappointed. We left a day early.

We especially appreciated how helpful Marco was when we had car trouble. He was really friendly and did everything he could to help, and he and Valentina also gave us a Verona map that was extremely useful for having a great day there. The apartment was lovely, with a great mix of vintage and modern industrial style. We loved every part of it. The garden was amazing, and we relaxed there every evening. Our dog had a great time too and became friends with their dog Primo. Thank you, Marco and Valentina 💗

A bottle of local wine was waiting in the kitchen, which was well equipped. Everything was spotless and beautifully designed, and the house and apartment are lovely. We stayed four nights and felt at home right away. Shops and restaurants in the centre of Vallegio sul Mincio are within walking distance, while a large supermarket, bakery, and coffee shop are even closer. Marco and Valentina are very kind, and our dog quickly made friends with theirs. If we’re back in that part of Italy, we’ll definitely visit again.

A great spot to rest or cool off is the outdoor pool. The apartment is clean and beautifully designed, mixing industrial style with old details. It’s right in the centre of Valeggio Sul Mincio, and Marco is a kind, caring host who gave us very good tips for restaurants, the gym, and more.
