For me, this worked for a single night, though I wouldn’t choose it for a whole week’s holiday. Agriturismo Villa Gropella is family-run, modest, rustic, and authentic, and you can tell there’s been a lot of care and work put into it. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable, which helped me give it four stars. Still, the place is old and worn. If a wealthy investor had turned it into a resort, it might be a gem, but probably too expensive for ordinary people like me. Anyone who loves old walls will appreciate it. The history seems to hang in the corridors, and you almost wish the walls could tell their stories. Everything is vintage in the truest sense, so you really need to like that.

The owners were super friendly, and breakfast was simple but tasty. Our room was huge, with beautiful antique furniture that suited the place perfectly. It’s a lovely historical spot for a quiet vacation. We had a really nice stay at Villa Gropella and will definitely come back.
