Torre Balzano Luxury B&B

The location is excellent for exploring the area, and Bari is nearby. For the price, it’s a great place. The rooms are cleaned every day, but breakfast is put in containers the night before: the same packaged toast, muffin, and croissant daily. You can make tea, though there’s no kettle, and the coffee machine is available only from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. There’s also a banquet hall where events are often held, with loud music that can be noisy.

It’s a quiet place and reasonably clean, but it needs serious renovation. The staff aren’t helpful, and breakfast is awful.

The coffee machine’s noise carried into the rooms, almost as if it were in there, and it kept going even outside the hours when it was supposed to stop. I was in a ground-floor room, next to a castle with a party hall, and they still rent rooms when events are on, so sleeping was impossible. The breakfast came in packets and everything tasted like medicine. The TV remote was so dirty I could barely make out the writing on the buttons. There were so many problems I could write a book about them. This is by far my worst holiday experience, and I’d never come back.

I couldn’t get any rest at all. There’s a restaurant next door where parties are held, and it gets very noisy, especially from the employees using the kitchen in the accommodation unit.
