Posthotel

The room was basically okay, though I found boogers and rubbish under my pillow, and there were strange stains on the bed. At least the cleaning staff did a good job. The shower walls in our room were broken. The food really needs improvement: the soup gave me gas and diarrhea, and it tasted very bad.

The room was crawling with cockroaches and had no comfort. The food smelled and tasted like sweaty sneakers after extra time. One employee even spat at me, so fair play clearly wasn't on the cards. When you enter, there's a smell like nobody has blown the whistle in weeks. This place is in the lowest league, a definite red card. Never send your children here. It's clearly in the lowest league.

The receptionist was kind and clearly embarrassed by the guests' complaints, but couldn't resolve the problems and requests. The owners were absent and seemed uninterested, leaving staff to cope on their own while moving them between their hotels in the valley. The garden grass was about the only thing kept up. Elsewhere there were cobwebs, dust, dead insects, and disorganization. In four days nobody removed a dead fly on the first flight of stairs. It's cheaper than the area's average, but not worth it. Despite the three-star rating, the standard felt like a basic guesthouse for people who want to be in bed by 9 p.m. A disappointing stay that all the guests seemed to share.

The view is beautiful, but the hotel has three floors and no elevator. Drinks are quite expensive, payable at checkout, and their prices aren't given in advance. Food was mediocre, and there weren't enough staff; reception was almost always unattended. It's on the busiest road in the Ahrntal, so there's a lot of noise. The place is badly outdated and urgently needs renovation. The room and bathroom were small and old, with stains all over the carpet, walls, and curtains.
