The little village is lovely, and the people running the place are so nice. I live in the nearby woods, so I haven't stayed overnight, but I sometimes stop in for coffee or gelato. Such a nice little treat.

The location is peaceful, right in the middle of the hiking area. It's a simple place, and the rooms are plain but nice. We had a wonderful, straightforward dinner with delicious Italian vegetables. A very warm, family-run hotel.

We were sorry to leave. The valley view from our clean, quiet room was splendid, and breakfast was generous. They even made a special menu for us as vegetarians. The welcome was wonderfully warm in this charming little village up on the mountain. Everything here felt just right.

We found this a great starting point for our walk along the Via Borromea from Malesco to Cannobbio. The owner was attentive to guests and very friendly. It's a clean, welcoming hotel in a typical mountain village, basic and informal. Dinner was really good, with only a few choices, all authentic and cooked very well. Prices were fair.
