Stunning Apartment in La Ciaccia With 2 Bedrooms

We stayed in apartments E and F, but the advertising uses photos from several different apartments, so it's hard to know which one you'll actually get. There's no swimming pool, and there was no proper beach access. Getting down meant going through sewers and drains. When we raised our concerns about the apartments, we were threatened. E had one proper bedroom, plus a sink in the stairwell. Its built-in fridge wouldn't close, so it didn't keep things cool. The kitchenette had only a portable table lamp for light, a gas hob, and a sofa bed squeezed into a small space. There was no gas detector. F was bigger, but didn't have a real bedroom. The double bed was behind a curtain, in a space with no outside ventilation, lighting, or tables. The open kitchen had a table, two sofa beds, and an armchair, and felt cluttered. Its fridge was small and rusty, and the dishwasher was partly dismantled. They also charged €16/day extra for a dog. I had asked three months ahead whether the fee would go up, but never got an answer.

The construction next door made it impossible to enjoy a quiet morning. Workers and vehicles were noisy from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm while a three-story apartment building was going up beside the villa. We were told there'd be private parking, but couldn't use a fenced-in space. One morning, with the construction noise already going, we heard a loud crash. Our car was parked on the street and had been hit head-on by another car backing up.

A really pleasant, peaceful spot to use as a base for exploring both the island's northeast and northwest.
