The breakfast was fine, though the choice wasn’t extensive unless you like sweet cakes. We also appreciated the free parking, helpful staff and a decent terrace where we could have a beer before the sun went down. Our triple room was roomy, clean and very good value for three people. We stayed three nights in April for some late-season skiing, and would happily return for the price.

I’m very disappointed by how rude and unprofessional the staff were. I booked on the basis of the stated policy that I’d pay when I arrived. Then, last night, two weeks before my stay, they texted to demand an immediate 50% bank transfer, saying it was easier for them and that people sometimes don’t show up. They wouldn’t email the request, and today they cancelled my booking because I wouldn’t accept this sudden change to the agreed terms. Now I have to find somewhere else to stay with only two weeks to go. Thanks for ruining my holiday.

The restaurant was good, and the pizza was decent value. We liked the atmosphere, and the staff were helpful and nice to deal with. The room was basic, the shower cubicle a bit cramped and the Wi-Fi unreliable, but it was cleaned really well. We were there skiing with my 15-year-old son, and the location worked great, with the ski bus stop about 50 yards away. The boot room was handy too.

The mountain views were stunning, and Cervinia, where we planned to ski for the weekend, was just 10 minutes away. The staff were very friendly, apart from one boy who didn’t speak English, which made him awkward to deal with. They were flexible when we asked to add another night, and dinner at the restaurant one evening was really tasty. We had a lovely stay.
