Hotel Zurigo

We came back for a second visit and were just as pleased this time. The restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed, but we'd been told when booking, and the receptionist had reserved us a table at a lovely local place. We needed an early start, and the staff were ready to serve breakfast in the morning. Reception had also arranged for a taxi to be waiting so we could catch our early train. The staff really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Excellent hotel, wonderful people.

Two families, four adults and five kids, spent three nights here in winter. It snowed and rained, but we still had lots of fun. There are playrooms and a playground on the property and nearby, and the staff were very kind. The food was above average and the price wasn't bad either. A lovely walking and running path runs along the beach, starting at the bottom of the road.

For the price, this is a good option. The beach and town center are close, everything was clean, and the staff were pleasant and polite. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee deserves a mention too. The room was small and not set up very well for a beach holiday. There wasn't enough space for two people's things to dry. We had a luxury room, but the difference from a regular one turned out to be its “special design.” In practice, all we got was a table lamp.

The hotel is a little off the main route, though still easy to find. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was a generous buffet.
