Smart Hotel King

I didn't see a single person during the two days I was there. No reception or staff, which felt really eerie. The room itself was nice and clean, but the highway means you can't walk anywhere from this bad location. Apart from that, it's a nice hotel.

Be careful with the digital check-in. It didn't work for us. We tried about 15 times to take the requested ID card photos, but the poorly developed app wouldn't say which photo was wrong. No one could help, even after we called the number recommended at the entrance. We couldn't get into the rooms at all, and the atmosphere still gave us the impression this hotel was probably made for ONS. Other comments seem to back that up. Neither booking.com nor the hotel has reimbursed us, either. Be aware of the possible problems before you go.

The room was clean and the bed was good, but it wasn't as glamorous as the online photos. The layout was odd, with stairs down to the parking area. It felt a bit spartan too, no wodrop or desk, just a table in the middle, with the kettle on top of the mini fridge by the stairs. The WiFi didn't work without a voucher. On arrival, the person at reception was incredibly helpful and patient. The restaurant was pretty tasty and reasonably priced. I'm still unsure about four stars for the room service, though the service from everyone was five star. The staff were always helpful, answered all our questions, and offered solutions, including at the restaurant. Thanks to all of them. If you're driving, make sure you get the entrance right, or it'll add another six minutes.

Renzo helped my family even though he wasn't supposed to be there, and might have risked losing his job for it. Many thanks to the on-site staff member who got us through this. The hotel itself isn't bad, but the digital setup made for a rough stay. We couldn't check in digitally, either by phone call or by activating the email. We found out they were trying a new digital system. Then the street gate was shut, so cars couldn't get in or out. Later, the bathroom lock broke with my kid stuck inside. Thank God Renzo helped. Taxis probably won't pick you up because the hotel is too far outside the ZLT area. Mr. Manager, please put a person at the front desk. The internet and digital gimmicks don't always work, as we all know. It's a good idea, but not ready in practice.
