Spacious and modern for this area, and close to most restaurants and the gardens. This tucked-away place felt like a hidden gem. There’s a fair bit of foot traffic during the day, but we didn’t hear it or mind it. Depending on where you finish your night, it’s an easy walk back through the walkways. I loved the stay and would book again. Just be aware the way down is steep if you’re carrying very heavy luggage. It wasn’t as bad as I expected.

The apartment itself was average, and we couldn’t open the windows because of mosquitoes. What really affected our stay was construction right next to DD, with jackhammering from 8AM-6PM. We couldn’t hear each other talk, so there was no chance of having the peaceful stay we’d paid for. We weren’t warned about the work. Varenna Holidays’ response, “we don’t control construction,” wasn’t enough. They didn’t offer to move us or suggest any other options, and wouldn’t give us the owner’s information so we could discuss it. Ask whether there’s construction, or check with a nearby business. I’m sure Varenna Holidays will soften the truth for your business.
